As collected by the BBC:
14. I caught myself saying “shopping cart” instead of shopping trolley today and was thoroughly disgusted with myself. I’ve never lived nor been to the US either.
23. To put a list into alphabetical order is to “alphabetize it” - horrid!
36. Surely the most irritating is: “You do the Math.” Math? It’s MATHS.
#50 FTW.
[Angrily composing spirited, 700-word defense of the word “fanny pack”]
No, it’s math.
It’s also a shopping cart. It’s a cart, used while shopping. Shopping cart. Trolley? You mean this?
It’s also only stupid people who say “I could care less;” if someone knows how to convey what they want to say by the usage of words, they will say “I couldn’t care less” if they could not care less.
what’s wrong with train station?! I’m curious.
Isn’t it Mathematics? So it is Maths.
It’s Math to me. Or Maths to you. I don’t know why people argue about the cultural differences in the way we say words or what we call things. I find them endlessly fascinating, but not something to get my hackles up about.
Love and Kissies,
The Girl Who calls it a “Buggy”, not a shopping cart or trolley.
